Africa’s Best Coastal Destinations

With a vast and varied coastline, Africa boasts some of the best beaches in the world. Here you will find miles of untouched sandy stretches, dotted with luxury resorts, warm seas and some of the best conditions for water sports like sailing, snorkelling, scuba diving and fishing.

Majestic islands abound and several marine species are often seen cruising the coastline from dolphins to turtles, whales, whale sharks and everything in between.

Egypt

While Egypt is a well-known tourist destination for its remarkable pyramids and ancient archaeological sites, the beaches here are also well worth a visit. The coastline is characterised by well-equipped resorts set on white sandy beaches with turquoise waters.

Mozambique

Further up the coastline you’ll find the warm waters of Durban where you can experience the spectacle of the Sardine Run, before venturing further North to an area of wetlands and vast natural beauty. South Africa’s coast offers a variety of different experiences no matter your budget or interest.

Tanzania

Tanzania is the perfect location for romantic break or honeymoon. Here you will find a variety of magnificent islands, including Zanzibar, Mafia and Pemba, home to some of the finest beaches in the world.

These islands are popular with divers and snorkellers due to the amazing coral reef that runs the length of the coast while kite surfer, surfers, and sailors also flock to these parts.
